We are not born with the ability to communicate well, it is a skill we learn and must practice over time and yet, we can still get it wrong. It is important to know how to assertively communicate as a means of maintaining healthy boundaries and relationships. This course will walk you through the steps of how we learn and practice our own communication skills. All content has been developed by the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Families Matter group facilitator, Chantel. She has been supporting the families matter group for two years and is passionate about working with family members who have a loved one living with a mental illness.
