Definitions and ideas of gender expression and identity have expanded as our understanding and appreciation of human diversity has grown. We understand and respect the right of people to choose how they express their gender regardless of that which was assigned at birth. Traditional definitions of male and female no longer capture the diversity of human experience. Gender identity and expression are determined by the individual.
At CMHA Saskatoon we respect and welcome the right of people at any age to state what they know their gender identity and expression to be and how they wish to be named. We are committed to providing inclusive supports and services for everyone.
