DESCRIPTION:*For individuals working in a human service/resources field\, directly supporting individuals or supervising staff. \nMental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification course provides the knowledge\, skills\, and attitudes for participants to recognize changes in mental health\, respond supportively\, and apply practical actions for declining mental health and crisis situations. It helps participants build confidence\, reduce stigma\, and enhance their own mental health. \n\nIncreases awareness of mental health\nImproves confidence to provide help\nDecreases mental health related stigma\nPromotes personal wellness\n\nParticipants will be provided with all materials to complete the course.  Once the in-person facilitation is complete\, each participant will be provided an opportunity to take an online quiz (this is not mandatory) and in successfully passing that quiz will be considered certified.  Certifications last 3 years. \nLocation: 1301 Ave P North  \nTime: 9am – 4pm  \n*Coffee & water will be available\, but lunch is not provided.
