MHFA Basic 2 – Day (In-Person)

MHFA Basic is intended for adults interacting with adults (18 years and older). This course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance related, mood related, anxiety and trauma related, and psychotic disorders.

CMHA Saskatoon continues to monitor the COVID circumstances and it’s impact on our community, all in-person trainings follow safety protocols, but are subject to change if there is a high risk to participant health.
Switching from in-person to virtual: What you need to know?
- This decision will be made 2 weeks prior to scheduled course.
- Two live zoom sessions will take place from 9am – 12pm, you will need access to a camera and microphone
- A 1 hour self-paced module will be required to be completed prior to the scheduled course dates. (link & access codes provided via email)

Cancellation Policy for MHFA Basic & Standard (virtual) Course
The Canadian Mental Health Association Saskatoon Branch reserves the right to cancel a scheduled course as a result of not meeting the enrolment threshold set by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. In this case, a registrant may choose:
a) Full refund; or
b) Registration for the next available course.
If a registrant cancels their enrollment at least 7 days prior to course commencement they may choose:
a) Full refund; or
b) Registration for the next available course.
If a registrant cancels less than 7 days prior to course commencement:
a) No refund will be provided; or
b) Registration for the next available course.
If a registrant’s cancellation impedes on the ability of facilitators to continue with the scheduled course due to low enrollment guidelines established by the MHCC, no refund will be provided. All other registrants for this course will be required to transfer their registration to the next available course.
